She coordinates our Project Jessie rescue network and is a Board member but does not work out of our main office. Karen Levenson is a full-time staff and Board member. She works on a variety of wildlife issues, including the Canadian commercial seal hunt. On this issue she is a consultant with the Humane Society of the United States. Jacqui Barnes is a long-time animal activist and is a member of the AAC Board of Directors. She can answer questions about animals in experimentation through her e-mail: jacqui@animalalliance.ca
Mike Bordynuik volunteers for a number of animal rescue and protection groups, including AAC. He is a Board member but does not work out of our main office.
Marie Crawford volunteers her time for AAC. Her expertise includes promoting a healthy vegan lifestyle. Marie ran as a candidate in riding of Toronto-Danforth during the 40th General Federal Election.
Sinikka Crosland, another long-time animal activist, joined AAC's Board in 2007. Sinikka is Executive Director of The Canadian Horse Defence Coalition and campaign spokesperson for The Responsible Animal Care Society, both of which are based in Westbank, British Columbia.
Georges Dupras volunteers his time from Montreal to work on a number of different animal and environmental issues, specializing in bear and seal issues.
Barry Kent MacKay is a Director for AAC, Zoocheck Canada and the Born Free USA United with The Animal Protection Institute. He is an author and artist. Barry assists AAC primarily on various bird and wildlife issues.
Kathrine Paterson joined AAC's Board in 2007, volunteering in the office and for a number of different animal groups, including Toronto Cat Rescue and Farm Sanctuary.
Anne Streeter volunteers her time from Montreal to assist on a number of animal issues. She also volunteers for a Montreal-area "no kill" shelter. |
