Planning to adopt a new friend? Awesome!
Project Jessie is foster home based – so in order to help more animals, we need to place the ones currently in care.
Please, NEVER BUY your new companion – there are thousands of lovely animals looking for homes all across Canada right now.
Adopt from Project Jessie, or from your local shelter. Or visit Petfinder.com for listings of rescues all across North America. The perfect new companion is waiting for you – you just need to find each other!
Dogs Currently Looking For Homes
The nicest aspect of fostering, is that it allows us to get to know the individual animal and their personality, and make the best possible match between your lifestyle and theirs.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped (as age appropriate). They may have had other vetting as needed in their particular situation. The dog adoption fee is $350 to help cover some of the costs of vetting.
Cats Currently Looking For Homes
Looking to add a new cat (or two) to your family?
Looking for a lap cat? Someone a little more independent? The nice aspect of the foster system is that we will have a little clearer idea of what this individual cats personality is like, and can help to match you with the right companion for your lifestyle.
All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped as appropriate to their age. Most cats are also viral tested for FIV/FeLV and will have received any other veterinary care as appropriate to their particular situation.
The adoption fee for cats is $125 and is reduced for senior cats, medically needy cats, or if you adopt two cats at the same time.
Adopt Small Animals
We are often asked to help small creatures – hamsters, bunnies, guinea pigs, hedgehogs and birds.
If you are looking for a small companion, please email and let us know. We may be aware of a small creature still in its current place that is looking be rehomed, or we may have small creatures waiting to come into the program.
