Animal Advocacy, Circle of Compassion, Fundraising / July 30, 2024

Animals are counting on us. Will you say ‘Yes’ to animals in need?

Animals need your help. Dog.

Urgent! Your support is needed. Animals are waiting for help all across Canada.

We’ve made promises to so many animals. But without you, we won’t be able to keep those promises. Simply put, we are struggling financially. Many of our loyal supporters have passed away, long-term donors who have been incredibly faithful to the animals. The number of our monthly supporters is now diminished and the amount of work we can do for animals will need to be reduced – if we don’t find new monthly supporters right away.

Will you say ‘yes’ to helping more animals?

Yes, I want to help animals!

Your gift will allow us to keep helping animals through our ‘Project Jessie’ program. Through ‘Project Jessie’, we provide grants to rescue organizations and sanctuaries across Canada.

  • We’ve helped transport dogs out of remote, fire-ravaged regions.
  • Hundreds of dogs and cats have been spayed or neutered, thanks to the generosity of AAC supporters.
  • Our donors made it possible to contribute thousands of dollars toward medical equipment to provide better services to animals, like those in Canada’s north.
  • Rescued farmed animals in sanctuaries have also benefited from AAC/Project Jessie grants.

You can keep us fighting to stop the Department of National Defence (DND) from maiming, poisoning and killing piglets during military trauma training of medical personnel. Ten-week-old piglets are being stabbed and wounded so that military medics can practice on them. The piglets are not always anesthetized correctly during these painful abuses.

Dr. Nicholas Dodman, a recognized expert in veterinary medicine and former head of the Department of Anesthesiology at Tufts Veterinary School in Boston, has pronounced the anesthetics listed in the Department of National Defence protocols “totally wrong and inexcusable” and entirely inadequate for such invasive procedures. The DND’s own records reveal that many animals have revived during these procedures; some have ‘vocalized loudly’, and some have tried to jump off of the surgical table yet were still ‘used’ for more hours.

You can help end these horrors. Together, we must get this done.

Animals need your help. Piglets.

You can keep us working with local governments, convincing them to stop killing wild animals in culls. And, you can make it possible for us to continue to hire lawyers to fight the Ag-Gag laws that make it harder for advocates to expose what is done to animals behind barn doors.

Animals need your help. Calf in a veal crate.

Nothing less than changing the world for animals!

That’s our goal – nothing less than changing the way that people think about animals, and changing the kind of world that animals experience.

Influencing our society to recognize that animals have an innate right to their own bodies and to share this planet’s resources requires determination and dedication. You have that determination, and at Animal Alliance of Canada we’ve been demonstrating our dedication to animals since 1990.

Your monthly gift will mean we can keep our commitments and say ‘yes’ to animals in desperate need of your help.

Your one-time gift in any amount will also be well-used to work on behalf of animals.

We are grateful for every special person like you who cares deeply for animals – allies and partners fighting to save our friends.

Thank you for your love for animals, and for your determination to not let them down.

I’m saying ‘Yes’ to animals because they need me!

Animal Alliance of Canada has chosen to be a registered not-for-profit instead of a registered charity because this status allows us to take political action on behalf of animals with fewer restrictions.

Not being a registered charity means that AAC can be bold and determined defenders of animals, engaging with governments, businesses, and any entity that stands in the way of better protections for animals. Because of this, AAC cannot provide tax receipts, but you can be confident that your support allows us to be fearless and resolute advocates for animals.
